Question is, How heavy is it, as we are going to be lugging it around

well in the bren configuration its a little over 8.5 kilo's ,now the vz barrel is heavier but not mutch.the thing is its a beast to carry all day by yourself but splitting the carrying and fireing equally its not so bad and being a support gunner has its perks 
as im sure anybody who's been looking down its barrel will confirm .then theres spare batteries, ammo ,magazines and ive got a spare gearbox whitch can be fitted in the field in 5 mins thats worth haveing so even when not lugging the gun the team mate has a little extra to carry unless boshman is bringing his lovely bike as a mobile re-supply depo.

made the sight today and drilled the holes in the booster cone,the sight is a fair bit bigger than the one on the bren whitch was allways to small and on that endless "to do" list,i was originally planning on useing the new sight on doth barrels but because its radiused where it fits on the barrel and the vz barrel is larger dieameter at that point i cant as it would wobble on the bren barrell 
so i still have to make it again,
the barrel is in paint at the moment but as soon as it dryes i'll pop up some pic's.
after that its just the rear sight and stock.

there we are modelled by my youngest daughter imogen age 4 not got uniform for her yet.the paint looks far more silver in the photo's its actually puter and quite grey with matt laquer over,ill see if i can turn the flash off and take another.

dont know about a half track but i would give a limb (not necessarily mine ) for a universal carrier (bren gun carrier)
